I am a little obsessed with Play Food.  No, not the plastic kind that comes with the ToysRUs plastic kitchen.  I am really obsessed with the homemade, felted or sewn play foods.  But to be honest, I am a little afraid of my obsession. I am afraid that I will spend hours (or days or weeks) in my own little fantasy world sewing away, but upon receipt, Bella will pelt them at my head.  Or tear them apart with one deft move.  I think the worst thing she could do would be to completely ignore them.  Hmm.  Of course, if she ignores them, then they could be mine, all mine.  I could put them at the center of the dining room table.  I could put make fancy little felt cakes and put them on a cake stand.  I could fix plates of pancakes but leave them on the table – all day!  I don’t know how to explain what I think of these little felt foods or why I think that Bella needs a restaurant supply of felt food.

Mahar Drygoods sells the most adorable and inspired old fashioned but modern toys.  I have yet to buy anything from them, but I think about it all the time.  I think they have lovely looking products.

And what about these desserts?  Aren’t these gorgeous?  I don’t think that these are intended for the toddler set, do you?  The site where I found these photos is in Japanese.  I don’t know if she is selling them or just posting them for fun.  I don’t know anything about the site, but I still love it.

Maybe there are other people who think like me.  Maybe my husband shouldn’t be so concerned.
