Free Kashi Cereal? I love it!

September 4th, 2009

Kashi Heart to Heart cerealSo, I found out about this great link for Kashi cereal. Honestly, I have only bought a few types of Kashi products in the past, but everything that I have bought, I have loved. We do eat a lot of Heart-to-Heart cereal. I love the cups because they fit so very nicely in the cup holder in my car, so I can nibble while I drive or toss a few back to Bella. For an on-the-go snack, we eat a fair amount of Cheerios and Heart to Heart. Kashi’s “O” cereal is definitely more delicious than Cheerios. They have honey, so they are sweet and have a better flavor. They also have a better crunch and are bigger. Obviously, the closer parallel product is Honey Nut Cheerios, but for some reason, I just don’t buy that. The other thing I adore about the Kashi cereal are the heart shaped cereal bits. Yes, I am a total sucker for hearts. So adorable.

So, I was thrilled when I ran across this promotion that Kashi is doing now. They are giving away free samples of their product. Yay! I went to the site and filled out my info. They have three different Kashi cereals to choose from, so I picked Heart to Heart Blueberry Flakes.  But guess what? There was an option to fill out a survey in exchange for a coupon for another free product. :) I took the quick survey and am now eagerly awaiting a sweet prize in my mailbox.  Can’t wait!

**Anyway, most moms know that you can’t serve honey to a baby, but remember, that is the case for raw honey. Honey that has been baked into a processed product is considered by most people to be fine, but please consult your pediatrician for your child’s nutritional needs.  Don’t serve raw honey to a baby.

Great Coupons for Similac Formula

August 26th, 2009

I am very pro-breastfeeding.  I have nearly exclusively breastfed Bella and it has been wonderful for me and I wish it could be the option for all moms.  Of course, I realize that this is not realistic.   One of the many reasons that I prefer breast feeding is that formula is expensive!  So, I was very excited to find some excellent coupons for a friend for Similac this weekend.

Anyway, for those of you who shop at Publix, remember that for each item that you buy, they accept a manufacturer’s coupon and a store coupon.  The store coupon can be a Publix one or a competitor coupon.  Be sure to ask customer service at your Publix location if your store accepts Target coupons.  Each store manager determines which competitor coupons they will accept for their store, but many in Atlanta happily accept the Target Qs.
